Road Trip Rules

Below are the official rules for the Road Trip.  

  • Entry Fee: $100 per participant 18 years old and over. Please note, this is per person. If you are bringing along passengers, each of them needs to pay the entry fee.  â€‹
    • All Electric Vehicle Association members (not just in the Wisconsin chapter, but anyone in a chapter anywhere in the United States) will have their entry fee waived.
    • - To join the EVA visit the following website and follow the prompts: www.myeva.org/memberships 
  • New for 2026!! Earn a free entry by spreading EV awareness!! â€‹â€‹
    • ​​If you own 2 EVs, let a curious or skeptical friend/family member borrow your second EV for the Road Trip. (Limit one free entry)
    • Bring your EV on the Road Trip and bring along a friend or family member who has never road-tripped in an EV before (limit one free entry). 

    • Do you own an EV but can't make it this year? Loan your vehicle to a curious friend or family member so they can experience road tripping an EV! (Limit one person per sponsor; sponsoring a driver gets the sponsor a free 1 year EVA membership) 
      • ​A list of sponsors is being compiled currently. If you're interested in this option, please contact Jeremiah (wisceva@gmail.com) for next steps.
  • ​ ​Tentative: The Wisconsin EVA may be able to secure a few EVs from dealerships for anyone who is interested in joining the Road Trip as a participant. The Road Trip planning committee is working on this currently; stay tuned for more details!
    • If you are a dealership or individual who is interested in this option, please email Jeremiah: wisceva@gmail.com â€‹
  • Only fully electric cars and trucks can be used for this event. No hybrids or plug-in-hybrids. 

  • Obey the posted speed limit, and other traffic laws. ​​

  • All drivers must have a valid drivers license, the car must have current insurance, and all participants must obey all Wisconsin laws along your route. 

  • All EV owners are encouraged to sign up, regardless of make or model. 

The Route

Come back later for more details about the 2026 Road Trip route. As the Wisconsin EVA Road Trip planning committee finalizes details, more information will be added below. 

Day 1

Below you'll find the route plan for day one. The Road Trip planning committee will finalize the route and details as soon as possible. Check back often for the most up to date information.

We will meet for breakfast at 7:30 (exact location TBD), then the Road Trip will kick off with a stadium tour of the coolest venue in the entire NFL: Lambeau Field! After our 9:15 tour, taking approximately 90 minutes, we will then drive to Sturgeon Bay and have lunch.  From there, the route takes us up the east side of the Door County Scenic Byway, then back down the Lake Michigan side of it.

From Sturgeon Bay, we'll travel West and end the evening of the first night in Wausau. A room block will be reserved soon for Road Trip participants. 

Day 2 (Tentative)

Below you'll find the tentative route plan for day two, with approximate travel times. The Road Trip planning committee will confirm the route as soon as possible.

Day 2. First leg .jfif

After some coffee and breakfast in Wausau, we'll drive up to Ashland, WI where we'll enjoy some lunch and possibly entertainment.

After recharging our own batteries, we will cruise along the Lake Superior Scenic Byway.

After cruising the Scenic Byway, we will head south, ending the Road Trip in the Eau Claire area.

Stay tuned for the finish line of the 2026 Road Trip, where we'll send you home after some fun and/or  great food!
